Hey Everyone,It always seems like each change here just gets faster and faster! We are already starting week five of our change and it feels like Elder Blair and I just got here!
This last Tuesday we had a meeting for all of the Zone Leaders, and we learned about how us as leaders can be more of an example to our Zone. We mostly talked about working with everyone, and using our time more wisely by following the rules. Here in the mission sometimes it's hard to be completely obedient to rules in the morning... After going to bed late every night because you have to do numbers, then waking up on time is really hard to do sometimes... But Elder Blair and I have been doing really well on waking up and exercising each morning.
This last Thursday we had our Zone Conference where my companion and I taught the missionaries in our Zone what we learned, and also put in our own thoughts. One day my companion and I were talking about the episode of Spongebob Squarepants where him and Patrick Star had to sell chocolate bars. When they found someone interested in buying one they would explain what the chocolate bar would do for them... for example, they told the bald guy it would make his hair grow, and the old woman that it would make her live forever. So we used it as a fun example in our meeting, and shared the importance of teaching to the need of the investigator and having a positive relationship with the people we meet. (Not to trick them of course!)
It has been raining a lot lately so our area has been flooded for the past while. Right now we are heading into hurricane season, and everyone says we will have a hurricane... but who knows. We also did interchanges with Elder Riding and Elder Eggers. I stayed in my area with Elder Eggers. The purpose of interchanges is to teach and to learn from one another.
Two more weeks and President Hintze leaves, and President Adams arrives. It will be so sad to have Prez Hintze leave, but it will be cool to have Prez Adams come.
We were going to go the zoo this week but it might rain so we may have to hold off until next week. Thanks all!
